Sidney Mason Pye[6] is a student in Bash Street School's Class 2B, along with his older twin sister Toots.

Personality[]

Sidney is a trickster, with Smiffy a frequent target. When the kids rehearse a nativity play, Smiffy asks what sound a sheep makes. Sidney replies "Woof", and he and Wilfred go into hysterics when Smiffy ruins the rehearsal. He makes pithy remarks about the other kids, to the amusement of those around him; he and Spotty fight several times when the latter is a target. Sidney loves animals and has a wide variety of pets, from elephants to mice. His mouse is often part of the kids' plans. During the academy makeover, his chimney-brush hair is shaved off and he is apparently hypnotised.

Physical Appearance[]

Sidney has messy black hair which looks like a chimney brush, a blue and black striped sweatshirt, a white collar, black shorts, black socks and grey shoes.

Trivia[]

  • Sidney and Toots' name order is very inconsistent. As it is sometimes "Sidney and Toots", while other times it is "Toots and Sidney".
    • The Beano Video and certain other appearances refer to them as "Sidney and Toots".
    • Most pages on the Official Website and more modern appearances refer to them as "Toots and Sidney", and this is also the case with a few issues from the early 2000s.

  • Sidney's most prized possession is his pet pigeon, Patrick.[7]
  • Sidney's motto is "She was born first, but Mum got it right second time!"[8]
  • Sidney loves animals and they love him. However, the only animals he does not like are spiders, as they creep him out.[9]
